At Cycle-Rama our forte is designing a total engine package that will serve your needs whether just a mild street engine or a record holding race motor we custom design a package to fill your needs.

The myth of flow:
Flow numbers can be misleading. There is a lot more to producing horsepower than just a big flow number. If port velocities are too high the port flow may be capable of making more power but the power will not be realized because of inertial block on port flow.

If the port velocities are too low then the fuel will drop out of suspension and a corresponding loss of power will occur. Port volume, cross sectional area, roof, floor and sidewall lengths are critical to engine performance.

Other factors affecting air flow in an engine are rod/stroke ratio, intake manifold volume, piston velocity, piston dome configuration, air density, mass of fuel, temperature of incoming charge.

The key to making power and torque is the quality of combustion, not raw flow numbers.

A port is restricted by limiting port velocity. If you were to put a state of the art pro stock head on your street bike, you would probably get beat by a stock bike. For a ported head to give you maximum torque and horsepower the bore and stroke of the engine and the desired RPM range must be known. A set up for a Buell with 130 pound rider would be completely different for a full dresser riding 2 up all the time.

Making power, is a combination of camshaft, cylinder head, bore and stroke and exhaust system, the more air fuel mixture you can pack into a cylinder the greater the explosion, the greater the power.

Radius angle valve job; After years of flow bench work and Dyno testing we have a special designed radius bit that will cut the seat and radius it into the port at the correct angle and dimensions for maximum flow. This will give you a long life valve job that will give you the maximum horsepower and torque.

CNC Ultimate Street 95 inch kit   up to 130 HP

High flow, High velocity, Cycle-Rama CNC Ported Cylinder Heads. Install over-sized intake seats, bronze alloy valve guides installed and honed to size. 2.000 Custom Hi-Flow stainless steel intake valves and 1.570 Hi-Flow nitrate coated exhaust valves. Multi angle valve job on intake, radius angle valve job on exhaust. Set valve to valve and seal to retainer clearance. Install heavy duty valve spring kit and set installed valve spring height. Install compression releases. Flow test heads. CC chambers and Mill heads.

Torque plate bore and hone cylinders from 88 to 95 inches and set ring end gap.
